Due to organic growth, this well respected insurance broker, which has been trading for many decades in the Bradford area seeks an SME Account Handler.
Working within the close-knit and supportive SME Team, you will provide a first-class service to clients from a range of industry sectors. It is anticipated that your workload will comprise a 70:30 split in favour of commercial package business over smaller fleet risks, typically paying premiums up to £4K.
As opposed to looking after an allocated portfolio, you will handle all enquiries, renewals and mid-term amendments as and when clients call into the office. In addition, you will also deal with the placement of new business on an ad-hoc basis. As such, this varied and challenging role gives ambitious SME brokers a fascinating overview of the issues that affect clients from a wide range of trades and industries.

It is essential that you have previous working experience in the insurance market, ideally with some exposure to commercial insurance products. It is also imperative that you are friendly and approachable, with excellent customer services skills and the ability to communicate effectively, face to face, over the telephone and in writing. In addition, you must also be highly organised, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise an ever changing workload.
