Highly reputable insurance company has a rare opportunity for a Household Underwriter to work from its office in Bradford.
My client provides bespoke insurance solutions for a range of specialist sectors and boasts a highly prestigious client base throughout the UK. This position has arisen as a result of growth in the Household account and need for additional resource.
You will take responsibility for underwriting profitable risks via the broker channel, as well as directly for the insured. You will use your underwriting expertise to rate specialist Household risks accordingly, whilst managing and developing key relationships. Working within a small team, you can enjoy dealing with a variety of new and existing business. You will maintain the service standard levels and provide support to the Senior Household Underwriters. Also, you will undertake any project as advised to you by the Insurance Operations Controller and balance this with the needs of the department.
It is essential that you have experience of personal lines insurance, in particular Household, together with first-class class communication skills and the desire to work in a small team environment. The ACII qualification, or progress made towards, would certainly add weight to your application. You must have at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) to apply.
