Prestigious commercial insurance broker is looking to appoint a Compliance Offer in its superb office based in Wakefield. This organisation is renowned for providing a first-class commercial broking service and has a strong national presence.
Working as part of an established compliance team, you will ensure that the insurance broking service operates in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations. You will help to identify the key risks faced by the business, ensuring that proportionate measures are in place to mitigate them.
Ideally, you will already be a Compliance Officer, however, my client is flexible in terms of experience. Importantly, it is essential that you have a strong background within general insurance, and good product knowledge of commercial covers. In addition, you must have an understanding of the regulatory requirements relating to general insurance, and practical experience of their application within a broking environment. Ideally, you will have previously worked in a senior technical capacity. You must be able to pay good attention to detail, be well organised and proactive, and capable of discussing compliance issues with the business in a way that its staff will listen to and understand.
This role may appeal to technical commercial brokers or underwriters, who enjoy the compliance aspect of their role and would like to pursue a career in this specialist area.
